Maybe you are considering having your ceremony in your family church. Maybe you have a family church but it does not have the “look” or “feel” appropriate for your ceremony vision or, maybe you are new to St. Louis and have not found a church home. Possibly you are not having a church wedding and are looking for a ceremony and reception all in one site. Maybe a garden wedding is the location you have always been looking for. We will lead you to your perfect location, whatever your perfect ceremony location may be. Through our extensive research and in-depth knowledge of venues in St. Louis and the surrounding areas, we will develop a list of available venues for you, send you their websites to look over and, scheduling appointments to visit those options. After you have chosen the perfect spot, we are happy to review the contract, not for legal advice but, to make sure the traditional components of a venue contract are included. When we suggest venues for our full plan clients we are always considering our clients vision, style, guest list and budget, just to name a few of the many wedding planning components.

You open the phone book; you Google St. Louis wedding photographers; you look at a multitude of wedding magazines; and, what will you find? You will find endless lists of photographers but, what does that tell you? What photographers shoot in the style you are looking for? Are they photojournalistic or traditional in their approach? Do they want to work with you or do they expect you to accommodate them? Are they a wedding photographer or a commercial photographer trying to shoot weddings? Do they have experience and talent? These are all questions that should be considered when choosing the wedding photographer that is the perfect fit for you and your wedding. Bride’s Vision can cut the clutter for you. We have worked with many of the wedding photographers in St. Louis and are familiar with even more. We guide our full-plan clients through the “choosing a wedding photographer” maze. With this, as with all your vendor selections, Bride’s Vision will research available photographers who meet your specific criteria and needs, send you a list of available photographer’s web sites to review, schedule appointments and, attend those appointments with you, allowing you to choose the perfect wedding photographer for your perfectly-planned wedding.

At Bride’s Vision we are often asked, “Who is the best florist?” I must say I don’t really think there is ever one best of anything, but I do think there is a best for you. There are many talented florists but, who is the right florist for you-this is the question we help answer. After discussing the floral vision for your wedding, Bride’s Vision will research available florists whose style is the floral style you are looking for. We then schedule the florist appointments and accompany you, facilitating your decision on the perfect florist. It is our vision to help our full- plan clients choose the perfect florist for their perfect day.

For those full-plan clients who want that, and more, we guide you through the “tricky” maze of planning an outdoor wedding. After an in-depth discussion about what you are specifically looking for, Bride’s Vision researches available options and sends you a list of web sites to check-out. From that we encourage you to narrow the list down to a more manageable list, Bride’s Vision will then schedule appointments for site visits. You should always experience firsthand what the venue looks like. After visiting locations, we discuss the pros and cons of each option. Is there a rain back-up? Is there sufficient space for your event? Are special permits required? Are there adequate restrooms for your wedding party and guests? Is there a flat area for the event? If you have always pictured a mountain-top ceremony you must consider whether or not there is an area flat enough for you to have seating for your guests. These and many more are special considerations when choosing an outdoor wedding venue.

The staff of Bride’s Vision is never far from our well equipped Emergency kit. Do you need a band-aid, a safety pin or some hair spray? Not to worry we have it in our emergency kit.

Many years ago Bride’s Vision arrived at a hotel where the bride and her maids were getting dressed. One of the maids was trying to cover scuff marks on the ring bearer’s saddle shoes but having little to no success. Into the emergency kit we went and pulled out a bottle of white-out covering the scuffs completely; another successful outcome.

Writing this seems a little like stating the obvious but to those not in the wedding planning business it may not be. Let me state what I know to be the obvious, “put your escort cards in alphabetical order please.” Yes, I realize you organize your seating by tables, print your cards from that list and check your printed cards against your seating assignment list written by tables, but the last step in the process must be to alphabetize the cards.

Guests will spend much more time at the escort card table, thus creating a bottleneck, if they have to look through all the cards for their table assignments rather than go directly to their spot in the alphabet. Escort cards set out by table simply slow down the seating process; cards set out alphabetically move the process along much more quickly. It is such a simple thing, setting out the cards alphabetically, and it makes a huge difference in the amount of time a guest spends finding his or her table assignment.

It can also be helpful to have an alphabetical list, with guest’s names and table assignments. If a card is misplaced a friend, or your wedding planner, positioned at the escort card table, can quickly look up the guest’s name and send them happily off to their table for dinner to enjoy your wedding reception.
